Beauty and The Beast Teaser Trailer Teases Great Things To Come

Walt Disney Studios blew critics and audiences members away with their live action adaptations of Cinderella and Jungle Book in 2015 and 2016. Now, just a little after a month of the successful Jungle Book hit theaters, Disney releases their first teaser trailer to the live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. This teaser trailer does everything right. It uses the score and music from the original animated classic while using voice over to draw the viewer in. The teaser trailer ultimately leads to showing the iconic rose and Belle (Emma Watson) for the first time. The words “Be Our Guest” appear on-screen shortly afterwards along with the film’s release date of March 17, 2017.

Given the dedicated and loyal fanbase of the original animated film, I believe that Beauty and the Beast is going to be another huge hit for Disney. Personally, I have loved all these recent live action adaptations. I was even a fan of Maleficent which I know some had issues with but I thought was really well done and dark. I think Beauty and the Beast shows the potential of being the new Cinderella for Disney and I would be shocked if it didn’t do as well financially, if not better than that film.

In case you missed the prior casting news, the film is set to star Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. Check out the trailer for yourself below and let us know your initial thoughts in the comment box below.
