Batman & Superman to face-off against Captain America
by Chance Parker
May 6, 2016 will go down in history as the day that Batman and Superman battled Captain America. That’s right; Marvel and Disney have officially announced that they have chosen that date to release the third iteration of the Captain America franchise.
Warner Bros. announced just a few months ago to move its Untitled Superman-Batman Project from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2016 in order to help director Zack Snyder “fully realize the vision.” The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Jesse Eisenberg, among others.
Meanwhile, Marvel is coming off of a great weekend for its second Captain America film and has no reason to be intimidated by the Warner Bros. much anticipated film. Chris Evans has established himself as a legitimate action star and has proven that he can carry a blockbuster series.
It will be a tremendous weekend and there will no doubt be interest in how Ben Affleck will portray Batman and how the story with Superman is told. Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and all of previous Avengers projects have been successes so the question now remains, who will emerge victorious after this epic battle?
