MGM is set to remake the classic horror film Carrie, which was original made in 1976 and then remade as a TV movie in 2002. Now the film is set to be remade once again, but this time for the big screen. Sources say that this film adaptation is going to be closer to the original Stephan King novel than the Brian DePalma screen adaptation. Sources also say that the up coming star Shailene Woodley (The Descendants, The Secret Life Of The American Teenager) already passed up the lead role.
Kimberly Peirce, the director of Boys Don’t Cry has been signed to direct the upcoming remake. The director is set, so now the producers are trying to find their stars for the retelling of the classic tale. The actresses in the talks for the role include Dakota Fanning, Chole Moretz, Lil Collins, and Haley Bennett, but sources say that the top two actress in the talks for the role are Chole Moretz and Haley Bennett. I for one am excited for this remake, as it sounds like its going to be a well-done film.
