Just days after entering a facility to recover from exhaustion, we hear that Demi Moore has pulled out of the Linda Lovelace biopic starring Amanda Seyfried. Moore was signed on to play women’s rights advocate, Gloria Steinem, and it’s not clear whether she has actually filmed any scenes to date. Shooting began in December and a 2012 release date is planned, so directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman will have to find a replacement soon.
The film’s current cast includes Seyfried playing porn star Lovelace, James Franco as Hugh Hefner and Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace’s abusive first husband. Sharon Stone, Eric Roberts, Adam Brody, Hank Azaria and Debbie Mazur are also on board, rounding out a rather strong cast.
