During his appearance on Conan, Ryan Reynolds introduced the first official red band trailer for Fox’s Deadpool, which was also released online. Check it out here:
Footage shown at the film’s San Diego Comic-Con panel was leaked online last month, and the red band trailer essentially seems to be the same as the footage audiences saw at the event, except with a few parts taken out here and there.
In this violent and raunchy comic book film, Reynolds plays the title character of Deadpool/Wade Wilson, a wise-cracking anti-hero, who can heal himself in a way similar to Wolverine.
T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano and Ed Skrein also star in this Tim Miller-directed and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick-written film.
The trailer teases a lot of the gory sequences and bawdy language we can expect from the film when it’s released next year. Some of the best bits in the trailer include Deadpool taking down three enemies with one bullet and Wilson and Weasel’s (Miller) banter.
A green band trailer for the film has also hit the web, which you can see below:
Read the film’s official plot synopsis as well:
“Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”
Deadpool will be hitting theaters on February 12, 2016.
