The 10 Worst Films of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival

7. A Walk in the Woods

A Walk in the Woods Movie Sundance

BORING! If I had to pick one word to describe this film, it would be boring. A Walk in the Woods is based on a book and tells the story of Bill Bryson (Robert Redford) who decides to hike the Appalachian Trail with one of his old friends played by Nick Nolte. Now, I think Redford and Nolte were good fits for their roles but honestly how many times have we seen this film already? It is nothing more than a guy that is bored and disgusted by life that goes on a walk to make him appreciate what he has. This is as basic and formulaic as a film you can get complete with oddball secondary characters and cliched situations that feel like they were ripped directly from Alexander Payne’s Sideways.
