TIFF 2017 News: First Wave of Film Gala and Special Presentation Titles Announced
The 2017 Toronto International Film Festival is almost here. The 10-day festival begins on September 7, 2017, and runs until September 17, 2017. Piers Handling and Cameron Bailey tease festival-goers each year by slowly announcing the festival’s lineup and this year is no different. Today, July 25, 2017, an official release was sent out announcing some of the titles being shown at the festival.
The announcement featured a total of 47 titles which consisted of 14 Galas and 33 Special Presentations. The films in this initial lineup include 25 World Premieres, 8 International Premieres, 6 North American Premieres and 8 Canadian Premieres.
