Timeless “The Kennedy Curse” Review

“The Kennedy Curse” is by far one of the most exciting episodes of the show. Following a different formula, we are greeted by Wyatt and Rufus coming out of the time machine and telling the rest of the team that things didn’t go as planned. They had to bring back John F. Kennedy from his boarding school in 1934 to present day to save him from Rittenhouse. Not only is that complicating matters but once he escapes, the team has to go search for him and Jessica decides to tag along, much to the dismay of Lucy.

Rittenhouse is frantically trying to find John F. Kennedy and take him out while the team wants to find him and bring him back to his time period. Once John escapes, he meets some young adults who are confused by his appearance and speech. Despite this, they take him with them in the car. Once he starts to feel ill, they end up taking him to a hospital, where Rittenhouse has tracked him down. A fight ensues and John slips away once again. Despite their best efforts, the team can’t track him down without Rittenhouse being one step behind. The rest of the episode involves the fight to keep history as it is and one of the most famous presidents alive.

Another dynamic is unfolding in this episode between Agent Christopher and Lucy’s mom, Carol. She abducts Agent Christopher and tells her that Lucy is not to go on any missions and that they both have families to lose. This is a sobering reminder to Agent Christopher about her children and her family, but despite this, she leaves the decision up to Lucy and what she wants to do.

This episode does a great deal to further the stories between different characters. We find out the history of Wyatt and Jessica’s relationship as well as a little more about Carol and her pregnancy with Lucy. Maybe she isn’t as much of a die-hard Rittenhouse member after all. These advancements do a great deal to set our story in motion for the rest of the season, and we can see where some issues may come to a head and have to be handled accordingly.

Timeless continues to impress and enchant its viewers every week. We are transported to different locations and times with a richness and vibrancy that is not easily matched on television. The stories continue to evoke emotion and passion, keeping Timeless fans some of the most dedicated and loyal in the world.
