Actor Zachary Levi has been tapped for a recurring role in the second season of the Amazon Prime series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The hits series from renowned Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino centers on Miriam “Midge” Maisel (played brilliantly Rachel Brosnahan), a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted – the perfect husband, two kids, and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent – one that changes her life forever.
Levi will play an eclectic Manhattan doctor who suddenly starts orbiting the Weissman/Maisel world. He is also starring in the upcoming Marvel movie Shazam!
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the winner of two Golden Globes (Best TV Series, Comedy and Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy for Brosnahan. The series was recently renewed for a third season.
