Daniel Rester’s November Nomination Predictions for the 98th Oscars

It’s crazy that the end of November is already here. The awards season is in full swing. The Astra Film Awards nominations are already out, as are the Gotham nominations. Golden Globe nominations and others are just around the corner.

Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere and A House of Dynamite have lost all of their momentum, while Wicked: For Good didn’t gain nearly as much passion as the first film. Meanwhile, films like No Other Choice, Train Dreams, Frankenstein, and The Testament of Ann Lee are starting to get more attention.

One Battle After Another, Hamnet, Sinners, Sentimental Value, and Marty Supreme seem to be the secure top five nominees as of now. One Battle After Another looks to be the Best Picture favorite, but I wouldn’t count out Hamnet as a possible big winner. We’ll see how things could change as the season gets busier in December and January.

*** = my prediction for the winner in each category as of now.

Total nomination and win counts for each film located below all of the categories.
