A new independent horror film from director Jeremy Benson (Live Animals) will be coming to V.O.D. June 3rd. The film is called Girl In The Woods, starring Juliet Reeves (Zombies!Zombies!Zombies), Jeremy London (Mallrats), Lee Perkins (Foxcatcher) and Charisma Carpenter (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”). Here is the official synopsis from Candy Factory Films:
The death of her fiancé (London) leaves Grace (Reeves) abandoned in a harsh mountain wilderness. Struggling against the elements and fighting off starvation, the fragile shell of her sanity begins to crack. Her situation worsens when she notices a dark figure stalking her every step. Through memories of her mother (Carpenter) and father (Perkins), Grace finds a long-forgotten truth about herself. It is this secret, long hidden away, that will either lead her to safety or down a path of horror beyond anything she could comprehend.
If the film is as creepy as the trailer promises, this film will definitely will be a fun time for horror fans. Want to know more about the movie, watch for my review of this thriller on this week’s Horror Thursdays episode and then watch for yourself June 3rd.
