With the Emmy nominations being officially announced this Tuesday, I figured now would be the perfect time to give my predictions as to what I believe will be nominated for the Primetime Emmys. I have watched more television in the past two years than I ever have in my entire life. Hence, I feel more confident than ever in my predictions, and I am curious to see what shows get nominated and which ones get snubbed. There are far too many great television shows nowadays, and fitting all of them into a limited number of categories is becoming more and more difficult as the years go on. I wonder if the Television Academy will reevaluate their nomination categories and expand upon them given the significant increase of shows, not only on Broadcast and Cable Networks but on Streamers. I feel like a lot of series and actors are going to be overlooked this year, and that is a shame because, as many have said before, television has never been more robust as a medium. There are so many great television shows that deserve attention (and awards). Still, they will more than likely be overlooked given the limited number of slots and categories for hundreds of series and thousands of actors submissions.
But enough about that, let me get down to business; here are my predictions for the 74th Annual Emmy Awards nominations.
