5 Most Anticipated Films at Telluride Film Festival 2017: A List by Ashley Menzel

2017 is the first year that I am attending the Telluride Film Festival, and I am beyond excited. The announcement of the films earlier today filled me with excitement for the next few days. Among all the wonderful films that are set to play, these are the top five films that I can’t wait to see.

TellurideDARKEST HOUR
Winston Churchill is a fascinating and complicated man, and I’m always intrigued by his life and story. The spectacular cast will be sure to make this an incredible experience.
TellurideFIRST REFORMED
The plot description of the film drew me in first and then seeing the cast, I couldn’t pass up an Amanda Seyfried and Ethan Hawke film.
HOSTILES
A period piece starring Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, and Ben Foster is a safe bet for me. Christian Bale gives incredibly nuanced performances, and I think this film will be no different.
TellurideLADY BIRD
Finally being able to see a film directed by Greta Gerwig is sure to be a treat. The cast excites me even more with Saoirse Ronan and Danielle Macdonald. Saorise always gives it her all, and  I can’t wait to see what Danielle Macdonald has done following her stellar performance in Patti Cake$.
LOVING VINCENT
Vincent Van Gogh was one of the first painters I learned about it school. Since then, he has always held a special place in my heart, so anything about him always draws my attention. From the Doctor Who episode to this film playing at Telluride, I will always be excited to see anything about Vincent Van Gogh.
