First Finding Dory Trailer Teases a Great Adventure

Finding Dory

The first official trailer for Pixar’s upcoming Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory has finally arrived online. Ellen DeGeneres, who starred in 2003’s Finding Nemo as the forgetful fish Dory is returning to the title role in next year’s film, teased the trailer’s release yesterday and debuted the trailer on her version of YouTube called EllenTube.

The film, as the trailer makes very clear, centers around Dory’s search for her family as she struggles with her memory loss. Other than that, very little is revealed in the trailer, aside from the fact that viewers can expect a great adventure.

In the past, Pixar President Jim Morris stated, “The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised. We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others.”

A new poster for the film, which also recently hit the web, can be seen here:

DeGeneres will be joined by a cast that includes Albert Brooks, who is returning to his role as Marlin, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ed O’Neill, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Kaitlin Olson and Ty Burrell. Director of Finding Nemo, Andrew Stanton, is returning to the franchise to both write and direct the film; Toy Story of Terror director Angus MacLane is set to co-direct. Finding Dory swims into theaters on June 17, 2016.
