Gina Carano, the Haywire star, is now in the talks to star in the sixth installment of The Fast And Furious franchise, which is owned by Universal Pictures. Although the plot details and the character base are locked up tight for the most part, sources say that Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are set to return along with Dwayne Jonhson for this very anticipated sequel. Carano, if all goes well with the negotiations, will play a member of Johnson’s team that is tracking down Walker and Diesel.
Directing the film will be Justin Lin; this will be his fourth film he has directed in the series. Chris Morgan, who was the screenwriter for the past three films, will be returning to pen the script for the sixth installment of the series. Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel are returning as producers on the film. The release date for the film is a little while from now, set for May 24, 2013.
