It has been announced that Director/Producer Michael Bay (Producer of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Director of Transformers) is to produce the live action film based on the Grimm Brother’s fairy tale. The first revealing of the story was at last year’s American Film Market where it gained a lot of international interest. In more resent news, Hansel And Gretel 3D has already pre-sold to a number of other countries including Russia and China along with places in Eastern Europe at the film market in Berlin.
Sources say that the screenwriter of the film is Kira Madallo Sesay. While a number of crew members are on board, no director has yet to be signed. The crew members that have been announced to be working on the film have worked on films like Avatar and Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone.
