News – More Sequels for 2013 Have Been Announced

By Dominic La-Viola

Announced yesterday, The Hangover Part 3 and 300: Battle of Artemisia will get release dates, along with many other  sequels, in 2013. Todd Philips is coming back to direct The Hangover Part 3, but Zach Snyder will not be returning for Battle of Artemisia. Noam Murro is taking over for Snyder, and sources didn’t say why Snyder is not going to be returning.

In surprising news, instead of changing the release date for The Hangover Part 3, Warner Bros. will be releasing the sequel the same month as Universal is releasing The Fast And Furious 6, which is releasing in May, 2013. Also coming due to release in May, 2013 is Star Trek 2 and Man of Steel— so I have to say we are getting a lot of blockbuster hits early on. I for one would think that the films would be released during the summer from June- August, but again that could be a good marketing plan. More film sequels to be released in 2013 are Grown Ups 2, Red 2, and The Smurfs 2.
