Mark Wahlberg is on track to star in New Regency’s adaptation of John Grisham’s novel, The Partner. Wahlberg is also on track to produce this film, along with Stephen Levinson.
Grisham’s 1997 novel centers on a disillusioned lawyer, who steals $90 million from his law firm, stages his own death, and successfully disappears for several years. Later, one discovers that what seemed like a brilliant crime is further complicated by a murder charge. New Regency has brought several of Grisham’s novels to life, including A Time to Kill, The Client, and Runaway Jury.
