On April 4, 2013, iconic journalist, film critic, screenwriter and Pulitzer Prize Winner Roger Ebert passed away at the age of 70, after a long battle with cancer. We here at We Live Film are all deeply saddened by this tragic news because Mr. Ebert was an inspiration to all of us movie lovers, film enthusiasts, film reviewers, film bloggers and film collectors. Even if any of us may have disagreed with some of his reviews, which it was impossible not to disagree with him from time to time, we admired him to no end because he was a man of conviction and he was always more than able to back up his claims. The man was a poet, a fighter and a true gentleman. So some of us members of the We Live Film family have taken the time say some heartfelt words about the man who has inspired us to express our love and passion for film. So put your thumbs up and join us as we celebrate the legacy of one of the greatest film critics who ever lived: Roger Ebert.
