iZombie Season 4 Premiere “Are You Ready for Some Zombies?”

The new season starts off with a slight time jump, about four months since the previous season. Seattle is much different, called New Seattle and walled off from the rest of the world. New Seattle is being controlled by Fillmore-Graves and their soldiers. This isn’t met with the most enthusiasm by the humans remaining in New Seattle. They have even formed an anti-zombie terrorist group called “The Dead Enders.” New Seattle is not without problems from the zombie end as well. Somehow brains, despite being mass-produced in tubes by Fillmore Graves, are somehow being sold on the black market. This is causing a rift between the poor and the wealthy zombies as well as the young zombies and Fillmore-Graves. This puts Major in the position to be a youth zombie mentor, but Chase’s intentions are not what Major had thought.

So we certainly get an answer to whether or not Ravi is a zombie and the answer isn’t exactly what we expected. We get a “kinda?” The cure kind of work for a little while but then he turns into a zombie then back to a human, then a zombie. This could be an exciting direction for the show and give a lot of options for the storylines and still holds a lot of suspense. When the flip-flopping stops, will he be a zombie or human?

New Seattle has a new problem when Angus gets released from the well without Blaine knowing and decides that he is a religious man sent to help the zombies. He has taken the words that Blaine yelled to him while in the well and turned them into the gospel. He and his new group of followers are raising an army and attacking humans. It is only a matter of time before Fillmore Graves finds out and there is a significant zombie clash.

The premiere has set the bar very high for this season and I can’t wait to see where it takes us. iZombie plays on the CW on Mondays.
