Assassination Nation premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in January where the received a lot of praise from critics and audiences. The film generated so much buzz that the festival even added an additional screening of the film because the demand was so high. The film was selected to play as part of the Midnight program at Sundance but generated so much buzz that it quickly became one of the most talked about films of Sundance 2018. Today, Neon has released the first official teaser trailers as well as the poster for the film.
Assassination Nation stars Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef, Abra, Anika Noni Rose, Colman Domingo, Maude Apatow, Bill Skarsgård, Joel McHale and Bella Thorne. It is written and directed by Sam Levinson.
For those who are unaware of what Assassination Nation is all about, Neon has provided an official plot description of the film for us to share with you:
High school senior Lily (Odessa Young) and her group of friends live in a haze of texts, posts, selfies, and chats just like the rest of the world. So, when an anonymous hacker starts posting details from the private lives of everyone in their small town, the result is absolute madness leaving Lily and her friends questioning whether they’ll live through the night.
