OMG that Final ‘Justice League’ Trailer

OMG that Final Justice League Trailer

Earlier this morning, the final trailer was released for the highly anticipated Justice League from DC Films and Warner Brothers. While I don’t normally do trailer reactions, I really wanted to share my thoughts on this trailer because in my humble opinion, it’s freaking awesome!

I know that many critics have or had their doubts about Justice League but I never did. I always had a positive feeling about this film because I just love these characters and felt the casting choices were perfect. After seeing the cast at San Diego Comic Con back in July, I was hooked and began to count down the days until the film’s release. This final trailer doesn’t offer much in terms of plot but the action looks bad ass. The opening scene featuring Clark Kent and Lois Lane offers some minors hints about the plot revolving around the death of Superman but I can’t really figure out how the film’s plot is going to play out. While I can see how some may complain about that, I personally think that’s a great thing. I don’t need to know the entire plot before I see the film. I like to have some surprise when I walk into the theater.

In terms of the cast, I think Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher are going to WOW audiences. As I mentioned above, I attend San Diego Comic Con every year and have watched hundreds of panels of various films and television shows. The cast of Justice League have this dynamic energy when they are together. They seem to enjoy being around one another and their chemistry together is spot on. While, the naysayers are arguing that it would have been nice to see an Aquaman Movie, The Flash Movie, and Cyborg movie before Justice League, I think this film will be a great tease of many great things to come.  DC doesn’t have to follow the Marvel formula. I hate that people always compare the two. Look at what the studio did with Wonder Woman earlier this year and I think it worked out rather nicely.

The use of the song Heroes is a great choice by the marketing team at Warner Brothers. The trailer doesn’t open with it but the song is slowly introduced as the action and team members are shown. We get a small glimpse at a few of the secondary characters like Commissioner Gordon played by J.K. Simmons. I look forward to seeing how he plays the character. I am also very excited to see Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/the Flash in action. Miller looks like he is having a total blast being part of the film. I love the scene at the end of the trailer where he talks about the bat signal.

Needless to say, I can’t wait until the press screening and press day for Justice League. I am super excited to see the film which is rare because I normally don’t get excited about big budget blockbusters often. What are your thoughts on the trailer? Are you excited to see the film?
