A new poster has been released for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Check it out below:
The poster is noticeably packed with superheroes and characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Scarlett Witch (Emily Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron-Taylor Johnson).
It looks like the team is fighting their next great battle against a team of Ultron (James Spader) controlled robots in the poster, as opposed to the numerous Chitauri they faced in The Avengers.
Also, if you look almost directly above Hulk’s head, you’ll be able to see Vision (Paul Bettany), a character that Marvel has continually teased in other Age of Ultron posters. Vision will be Bettany’s second role in the MCU, as he voiced Tony Stark’s AI companion JARVIS in the Iron Man movies.
Surprisingly, Captain America is front and center on this poster, instead of Iron Man, who was at the front of the poster for The Avengers. Perhaps this means that Captain America will play an even larger role in this film than previous anticipated.
The poster also confirms that many previously unconfirmed actors will be appearing in the film. Listed at the bottom of the poster with the rest of the cast and crew are Idris Elba (Heimdall), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Stellan Skarsgard (Erik Selvig). All of these actors have appeared in other MCU films, but still, many were not expected to return for Age of Ultron.
Danny Elfman will also be making some sort of musical contribution to the film, separate from the main score, which will be done by Brian Tyler.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters this year on May 1, 2015.
