So it’s been awhile since we have heard any news of a sequel to Will Ferrell’s 2004 hit comedy film Anchorman. Many fans have asked for it and haven’t been given any type of response from both cast and studio. But that has changed due to a very surprising revelation on CONAN when comedian Will Ferrell made an appearance as Ron Burgundy, the hysterical and witty News Anchor from the Action 4 news team. In character, Will Ferrell confirmed that we would finally be getting an Anchorman 2 with the full cast, from Steve Carell to Paul Rudd returning to reprise their roles. Many fans are ecstatic since it’s been nearly a decade that they have wanted a sequel and finally Paramount studios has given it the green light. During the comedy skit on CONAN, Will Ferrell appeared playing the flute and was dressed in his iconic red suit. The fans in the audience ate it up as he delivered very funny lines as only Ron Burgundy can. Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) went on to say in the skit, “I actually have an announcement, I want to announce this to everyone in the Americas to our friends in Spain, Turkey, and the UK including England. That as of 0.900 Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself have come to terms to a sequel to Anchorman.”
