There is a lot of buzz about Marvel’s The Avengers, and now there is talk about the upcoming films featuring our favorite superheroes. There are talks about sequels to all the hit films leading up to The Avengers and what films sadly are not going to get the sequels they deserve; as of right now, there is no chance for a Hulk sequel. There is news on sequels for Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and The Avengers.
Sources had an interview with Marvel Studio’s president, Kevin Feige, and he was talking about the future films coming from Marvel and what to expect. Thor 2 is coming and some details were released; the details included the focus of the story line. The story will be based around the relationship between Thor and Jane, along with Thor and Odin. I think this is somewhat of a spoiler, but Loki will be in Thor 2, although there is another villain who will be the main focus of the film. Thor 2 is set to start filming in three months in London. Joss Whedon will have the option to direct The Avengers 2, if and when it comes, Feige told sources. With all the sequels for each avenger, that alone will build up a sequel, like how they built up to The Avengers. Iron Man 3 starts filming in just a little over a month; some details were released talking about the outline of the film. Iron Man 3 is said to be like the first half of Iron Man, where Tony Stark is put in a cave and has to use his intelligence to save him. Captain America 2 is also coming. The film is going to revolve around trying to get Steve Rogers back into the world while he struggles to find his place in this new world (he will be staying with S.H.I.E.L.D. for the time-being). With that being a key part of the film, it makes it sound like there is going to be more involvement with Nick Fury and the Avengers in Captain America 2 than the other films because the film takes place at S.H.I.E.L.D.; and like the other movies, Captain America 2 takes place after The Avengers. I think that Captain American 2 will have a big part to building up The Avengers sequel, although a sequel is not yet confirmed. Feige did tell sources that there is going to be flashbacks in Captain America 2, and that they are still figuring out how much flashbacks to include.
