Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Sizzle Reel, First Poster and Early Concept Art Drops

Rogue One

Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 has officially kicked off in London, and as part of the major three-day Star Wars event, a first poster and sizzle reel featuring new footage from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has dropped. The poster highlights the war between the Rebel Alliance and the evil Galactic Empire, while an imposing Death Star is situated in the background. The tagline “A rebellion built on hope” is shown on the poster as well. The released video takes the viewer behind the scenes of the first Star Wars Anthology film and offers up some great footage, including a short clip of star Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso saying a variation on the most famous Star Wars quote in the book. Both can be seen below:

While the second trailer for Rogue One was shown to the crowd at the celebration, it was not unveiled to the public, online or in any other capacity, afterward. It’s currently unclear when casual viewers will be able to catch a glimpse at the latest trailer, but Disney and Lucasfilm have at least given us a sizzle reel to keep us company in the meantime.

If Rogue One did face complications during production, as a number of recent rumors have suggested, the video released, obviously, hints at no such thing. In fact, everything shown seems to indicate that the film will look and feel unlike any live-action Star Wars film before it, from the way it’s shot to the story and writing. Not to mention, a ton of practical effects and sets seem to have been used for the movie, which are always a plus.

Additionally, check out early concept art for the movie here:

The film hits theaters on December 16, 2016.
