Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer and Movie Poster Revealed

Star Wars fans are slowly starting to lose their minds as the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi quickly approaches. Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of buzz about the trailer for the film and what would be revealed in the trailer. There have been several articles written from various outlets over the past few days about the trailer and fans attempting to predict what was going to be shown. There was even an article posted a few days ago that director Rian Johnson wasn’t even sure if he wanted audiences to see the trailer for the film.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.

As always, Disney and Lucasfilm did a great job building on the hype surrounding the release of the trailer. They teased of its premiere during Monday Night football and even released a new poster, a few hours before the trailer hit the web.

I watched the newest trailer with my expectations in check. I think the Last Jedi looks a lot better than Rogue One and The Force Awakens, however, I am a bit concerned that it looks a little too much like Empire Strikes Back. While at first fans loved the Force Awakens, I think as time went on more and more people started to realize that the film was very similar to New Hope. The last scene in this trailer gave me that vibe “haven’t I seen this all before?”

I realize that it never matters what is said about the trailer for big films like this one. I will always see the film as will the millions, if not, billions of fans of the franchise. I was just glad that the trailer was a lot better than the trailers for the other films in this new series thus far. I can’t say that I was blown away by what was shown but my interest is peaked a bit even though I hope the film itself strives to be a lot more original than the Force Awakens.
