SXSW 2016 Early Film Lineup includes “Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday,” “Preacher” & more


SXSW 2016 Early Film Lineup Announced! 

A few months ago, SXSW announced that they would be getting the pleasure of holding the World Premiere of Richard Linklater’s newest film Everybody Wants SomeJust a few short moments ago, SXSW sent out an early “sneak peak” to more of their film lineup at this years festival. I have to be honest unlike most of the previous years, I am actually really excited for SXSW especially after seeing these new titles added to the lineup. Even though there are only seven films announced so far, I am actually excited about seeing 4 out the 7 announced. I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to learn that Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday is playing at SXSW as a life long friend. In addition to that, I will actually get to see another Netflix release on the big screen since the film is slated to premiere on Netflix and I still love the theater experience more than watching films at home.

Below are the latest titles added to the lineup. According to the press release, a more complete list of feature films (with the exception of Midnighters) will be announced on Tuesday, February 2Midnighters, all Short Films, and Music Videos will be announced on Tuesday, February 9.
