Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to Star in Upcoming Film

Former Saturday Night Live stars, Golden Globe hosts, and all around funny pals Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are close to signing on for a new comedy from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore. According to “Variety,” the project is called The Nest and revolves around two “30-something sisters who come home to find that their parents’ house has been put up for sale.” The two sisters then decide to have one last crazy weekend together.
Longtime SNL writer Paula Pell will write the screenplay, which is great news because the two stars, while funny on their own, have suffered from bad movie scripts in the past that don’t utilize their talents. I’m looking at you Baby Mama and Date Night. No other casting news has leaked as of yet, however I’m guessing the supporting cast will be top notch considering that Fey and Poehler are two of the most popular female actresses working right now.
