Marvel, already off to a quick start in the New Year, released an “ant-sized” teaser trailer for the studio’s upcoming film Ant-Man yesterday.
As small as it may be, check it out below:
A “human-sized” teaser trailer was then released today. Check it out below:
The full, normal-sized trailer for Ant-Man will be released during the series premiere of Agent Carter, a new Marvel TV show following the adventures of Captain America’s former love interest Peggy Carter, on Tuesday, January 6 at 8 pm EST on ABC.
Production-wise, Ant-Man has certainly proved to be one of the more troubled Marvel films, with Edgar Wright dropping out as director last year, and multiple cast members leaving the film as well.
Very little footage of the film has been released, so watching a trailer should give us a good idea of what to expect from Ant-Man, and which direction the film will be going in.
The movie, which stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket, is now being helmed by The Break-Up and Yes Man director Peyton Reed. The film wrapped production in December 2014, and will be the final film of Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ant-Man will be released on July 17, 2015, only a little over two months after Avengers: Age of Ultron is released on May 1, 2015.
Speaking of, Marvel also announced through a 15-second teaser released online, that we can expect to see the second trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron on January 12 at 8:30 EST during the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN.
Watch the teaser below:
The film will be helmed by 2012’s The Avengers director Joss Whedon, and will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Andy Serkis, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Cobie Smolders, James Spader, and many more.
