Ashley Menzel: Moana (9/10)
Moana is everything we wish for in a Disney film. It has comedy, heart, drama and a true message of inspiration all capped off with catchy and beautifully crafted music. Moana is sure to be a Disney classic for years to come.
Matt Marshall: Moana (10/10)
Disney knows exactly what they’re doing with their princess films. After Tangled and Frozen, you wouldn’t think Disney would have any more ante to up, but they have in its finest form. While it doesn’t go the unexpected places Zootopia did this year, Moana plays to a perfect formula of soon-to-be iconic songs, empowered heroines and an emotionally riveting narrative. Kubo has competition for Best Animated Feature of 2016.
Bryan Sudfield: Moana (9.5/10)
Disney has done it once again! This new renaissance for the company has been nothing but perfect and Moana is no exception. From the gorgeous animation to the engaging story to the compelling songs, this is an amazing film that everyone has got to go experience. While it’s not on the same level of unpredictability of Zootopia, this still manages to keep the audience engrossed. Plus, The Rock can sing! Who knew? I loved this film and it’s a great one for the whole family!

In 2016, Walt Disney cannot do anything wrong when it comes to their feature length films. Moana is another great entry in their yearbook and is destined to be another animated classic. The film features stunning animation, great music, and plenty of classic Disney magic. Moana is a film that has something for everyone while also educating the people of all ages. It is so refreshing to see a family film that not only showcases a strong female lead but also pays tribute to a culture that so few know much about. This is what great family films are made of and Moana will be of a few other Disney titles that you will be sure to hear more about come award season.
