After months of anticipation, the third trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has finally been released. Watch it down below:
From start to finish, the trailer is everything a Star Wars fans could possibly hope for: powerful, invigorating and exciting.
Footage from the film was shown during the Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants on ESPN, and shortly afterward the full-length trailer landed online. This is the first trailer for The Force Awakens since April, although Disney did put out a few teasers yesterday to get fans excited for the new trailer.
The trailer comes only a day after the official theatrical poster for the upcoming seventh Star Wars film was unveiled, which can be seen here:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams, who also wrote the film’s script along with Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt. The film features a cast that includes such newcomers to the franchise as Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow and Gwendoline Christie, and such returning cast members as Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Tim Rose. Tickets are available for pre-order now, as the film will be hitting theater in about two months on December 18.
