21 Jump Street was a success at the box office this past weekend, as the film grossed $35 million opening weekend and sources say that it is expected to go up due to the reviews the film has received. With that being said, I think it is likely that we will be seeing a sequel to the successful action-comedy.
With this film being one of many successful films based off TV series, I think it is safe to say that we could be seeing more films based off television series. “What will they make a movie based off of next?,” is what I am wondering, with there being a wide selection of series to choose from. Now this is most likely not going to happen considering that the series is still running with a new season coming in the fall, but I think “The Walking Dead” would be a great series to make into a film franchise due to its popularity.
