News – Clint Eastwood To Direct “A Star Is Born” Remake

Clint Eastwood is taking on the role of director in a remake of the classic film A Star Is Born. This film has already been made three times, the first time was in 1937, then remade in 1954, remade the second time in 1976.  The writers behind the film are Will Fetters (Remember Me, The Lucky One), Irene Mecchi (The Lion King, Hercules, The Lion King 2), Stephen J. Rivele (Ali, Nixon), and Christopher Wilkinson (Ali, Nixon). The producers behind the film are Clint Eastwood, Bill Gerber, Basil Iwanyk, Robert Lorenz, Jon Peters, and Courtenay Valenti.

Clint Eastwood’s production of A Star Is Born is back on track after the leading lady in the film (Beyonce) had here baby. With one problem out of the way, they now focus on the other issue at hand: trying to find a lead for the male role. Warner Bros. approached Tom Cruise for the role as the leading male, which he seemed interested in, but nothing is yet confirmed. There was also talk about Christian Bale, who was formerly being considered for the role as the leading man.
