If you remember back to 1988, there was a hit comedy called Twins, which starred Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Triplets would be a sequel to the film Twins, which would reunite the two stars, with the twist of Eddie Murphy to star as the third brother. Schwarzenegger and DeVito would star as the brothers Julius and Vincent, then they would somehow discover that they have a third sibling, played by Murphy.
At this early development of the project there is no word on a director; Ivan Rietman, who was the director of the first film, would not be returning to direct the sequel but he is returning to produce the film along with Joe Medjuk, Tom Pollock, and Ali Bell. Sources say that they are looking for writers to develop the idea and create the script.
