The Good Place “Chapter 6: What We Owe Each Other” Review

Eleanor and Chidi continue on with their lessons and Eleanor is recruited by Michael to help discover what is going wrong in The Good Place. In an attempt to distract Michael, she convinces him that they just need to have fun and he will think of what could be going wrong later. After a few pretty hilarious scenes of them doing karaoke, playing in an arcade, etc., Michael concludes that it must be a person that is causing the problems. He has Janet compile lists and tries to figure out the common link. He finally gives up and Eleanor, reflecting on her past mistakes of not living up to her promises, tells Michael that she will do anything she can to help him.

Chidi and Jianyu are attempting to save Jianyu’s relationship with Tahani by being the third wheel in the date. He tries to get Jianyu to understand more about Tahani, and it seems, in the process, Chidi falls for her too. They have a lot in common and great chemistry, but they aren’t soulmates.

The show continues to develop deeper characters and moral dilemmas, giving a solid background to a seemingly simple show. Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are great together and continue to be the highlight of the show. Be sure to check out The Good Place, Thursdays on NBC.
