For those of you who thought the reach of the MPAA only went as far as giving a rating to a movie, you would be mistaken. The MPAA can also weigh in on the printed material for the film. According to a recent report by Deadline, a sizzling poster for “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” was too hot for the MPAA. They disapproved of the poster due to it showing a bit too much of Eva Green. In the poster she is wearing a very sheer white gown that reveals a lot of Eva and very little about the movie. The report mentions Dimension films is “reworking” the poster. Regardless of the final result, the original shall live on forever on the internet. “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” hits the big screen August 22nd.
So what do you think Filmsters, is this poster too racy for the theaters? Weigh in below. Picture is featured below the poll.
