Guillermo del Toro has agreed to develop and produce a movie adaptation of the collection of stories that scared millions of children, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. He confirmed this by posting on Twitter with some artwork from the original book.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is a chilling collection of stories released in the 80s and 90s that had fantastically scary and creepy stories. My favorite and the creepiest story of them all is the one where the woman has a pet under her bed who licks her hand every night and one night, thinks she hears something, goes to check on it and finds her pet dead, and then you’re left with the horrifying question of WHAT THE EFF WAS LICKING HER HAND?!
These stories creeped me out so badly as a child. I can’t wait to hear more about this sure to be masterpiece from del Toro.
