The Good Place “The Trolley Problem” Review

This shirt was forking great! This episode by far was one of the funniest of the season. While Chidi and Eleanor spend their time working with Michael through an ethical dilemma, Tahani is keeping a secret which she reveals to Janet. Chidi and Eleanor are working to once again explain to Michael that humans are good and that while working through the Trolley Problem, he must understand that human life is valuable. Obviously frustrated and not grasping the concept, Michael brings the Trolley Problem to life. The result is a hilarious bunch of scenes where Chidi is struggling to understand the reality of the situation when placed directly in the problem. Eleanor is along for the ride and offers excellent commentary. Tahani speaks with Janet about a secret she has and tries to get help from Janet.

Easily one of the best scenes of the entire season, the Trolley Problem scene was both hilarious and ridiculous but embodied what The Good Place is and the humor that it has throughout the season. I love that The Good Place is daring and a little sick in some ways. It makes you laugh while also making you question yourself and your judgment. The writers of the show are genuinely superb as they continue to deliver comedic gold each week.

The actors are perfecting their roles and are a joy to watch. Kristen Bell is phenomenal as Eleanor. She and  William Jackson Harper and working well together. Even the weakest of the characters are finding their footing and becoming a staple in The Good Place. Each week is an adventure, and I can’t wait for the next episode.
