Lionsgate has finally chosen a director for the sequel to their hit film The Hunger Games, although it is not official. The second installment of the four-film franchise is set to start filming in September; yes, their is only three books but the third book is being broken into two films.
Francis Lawrence has been offered to direct Catching Fire, the second installment to what has started off to be a very successful franchise (the first film has been first in the box office for the past four weeks). Fans may be pleased with Francis Lawrence in the director chair, as he has directed films such as I Am Legend and Water for Elephants. Nothing is yet official, and the name of the director of Catching Fire could likely change.
