Creepy Annabelle Doll Returns for New Terrors
Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema debuted the first trailer for Annabelle Thursday afternoon. This spin-off of last year’s horror hit, The Conjuring features the creepy Annabelle doll in her own film.
This teaser comes nearly one year after the critically acclaimed Conjuring. So the sight of this creepy doll is still fresh in the minds of audiences. But Warner has been keeping the film under wraps. The doll’s a major part and we’re entering prequel territory here. That’s about all we know at this point.
The Conjuring director James Wan takes a back seat to producer. John R. Leonetti steps up to plate as director. Leonetti previously directed Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and The Butterfly Effect 2. However, Leonetti is no stranger to horror, serving as cinematographer to Wan’s previous film’s Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 2 and The Conjuring.

By the way, if you’ve braved the trailer above, ask yourself this. Who in their right mind puts a creepy doll like that in a kid’s bedroom? Technically, the couple’s kid isn’t born yet. But still, this is the most disturbing doll this side of Chucky.
With the Michael Bay produced Ouija trailer just released and now Annabelle, horror fanatics have a hint of what’s to come this Halloween season.
Annabelle stars Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, Eric Ladin, Brian Howe and Alfre Woodard. Annabelle is set to scare audiences October 3.
